Abstract

Nazir tabbasum is a well-known and iconic poet of the present age. He experimented with different literary genres like Ghazal, poem, Naat, Haiku, and mahiye. He gained fame mainly as a ghazal writer in literary circles it does not mean that his poems are devoid of intellectual depth and profundity of thoughts. Similarly, his poems are not below the standard in artistic skills, as compared to his ghazals. But it is pertinent to note that the critics and literary scholars have paid less heed and attention to his poems. That is why his poems have not received due recognition and acclode in the public. this negligence towards his poems by the literary scholars has been regretted by Nazir Tabbasum himself.
