Armaghan-e-Sarhad (ارمغانِ سرحد) recognizes the growing use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic research and publishing. The journal supports the responsible, transparent, and ethical use of AI technologies while maintaining the importance of human authorship, originality, and research integrity.
Use of AI Tools by Authors
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for limited purposes such as:
- Improving language, grammar, spelling, and readability.
- Assisting with formatting or organization of manuscripts.
- Supporting research-related tasks where appropriate.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their submitted work.
Disclosure of AI Use
Authors must disclose any significant use of AI tools during manuscript preparation. The disclosure should include:
- Name of the AI tool used.
- Purpose and extent of AI assistance.
- Sections of the manuscript affected by AI assistance.
This information should be included in the manuscript or acknowledgement section where applicable.
AI Tools as Authors
AI systems and software tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors of manuscripts submitted to Armaghan-e-Sarhad.
Authorship requires human responsibility, accountability, and contribution. Authors are responsible for all content submitted under their names.
Responsibility and Accuracy
Authors must ensure that:
- AI-generated content is carefully reviewed and verified.
- AI tools are not used to create false information, fabricated data, misleading references, or inaccurate research findings.
- Proper citations and acknowledgements are provided for all sources and materials.
Prohibited Use of AI
The following uses of AI tools are not acceptable:
- Generating or manipulating research data, results, or evidence.
- Creating fabricated references or citations.
- Submitting AI-generated manuscripts without human review and intellectual contribution.
- Using AI tools to hide plagiarism or unethical research practices.
Use of AI in Peer Review and Editorial Process
Editors and reviewers must maintain confidentiality and should not upload submitted manuscripts or unpublished research materials into external AI tools without appropriate authorization.
AI tools may assist editorial activities only when confidentiality, security, and ethical standards are maintained.
Transparency and Research Integrity
Armaghan-e-Sarhad (ارمغانِ سرحد) promotes responsible AI use that supports scholarly communication while preserving human creativity, accountability, and academic integrity. All manuscripts remain subject to the journal’s peer review, plagiarism checking, and ethical publishing standards.
