Data Sharing Policy

Armaghan-e-Sarhad (ارمغانِ سرحد) supports transparency, research integrity, and responsible sharing of research data. The journal encourages authors to make the data supporting their research findings available whenever possible to promote verification, reproducibility, and further scholarly research.

Data Availability Statement

Authors are encouraged to include a Data Availability Statement in their manuscript indicating whether the data supporting their research findings are available and how they can be accessed.

Examples:

Available Data:
"The data supporting the findings of this study are available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request."

Publicly Available Data:
"The datasets generated or analyzed during this study are available in a publicly accessible repository."

Restricted Data:
"Data are not publicly available due to ethical, privacy, confidentiality, or legal restrictions."

Author Responsibilities

Authors should:

  • Provide accurate information about the availability and accessibility of research data.
  • Ensure that shared data comply with ethical, legal, and privacy requirements.
  • Obtain necessary permissions before sharing third-party data.
  • Provide sufficient information, methodologies, and supporting materials to allow research verification.

Data Repository and Preservation

Authors are encouraged to deposit research data in recognized repositories where appropriate, including institutional, subject-based, or trusted data repositories.

When data are deposited, authors should provide:

  • Repository name and link.
  • Dataset identifier or DOI (if available).
  • Description of the deposited materials.

Confidential and Sensitive Data

The journal recognizes that some research data may require restrictions due to:

  • Participant privacy.
  • Confidential information.
  • Ethical approval requirements.
  • Legal or institutional limitations.

In such cases, authors should clearly explain the reason for restricted access in the Data Availability Statement.

Editorial Review and Data Integrity

Editors and reviewers may request access to supporting data, research materials, or analytical information when necessary to evaluate the validity and reliability of submitted manuscripts.

The journal may take appropriate action if published research is found to contain inaccurate, fabricated, or unavailable data without proper justification.

Commitment to Research Transparency

Armaghan-e-Sarhad (ارمغانِ سرحد) promotes responsible data sharing practices while respecting ethical and privacy considerations. The journal encourages authors to improve research transparency, reproducibility, and long-term scholarly value through appropriate data availability practices.
