Armaghan-e-Sarhad (ارمغانِ سرحد) follows a transparent and clearly defined policy regarding publication fees, Article Processing Charges (APCs), and waivers. The journal ensures that all financial information is openly available to authors before submission and that editorial decisions are made independently of payment status.

Source of Funding

The publication activities of Armaghan-e-Sarhad are supported through the following sources:

  • Article Processing Charges (APCs):
    APCs collected from accepted manuscripts support essential publishing activities, including editorial management, peer review administration, plagiarism screening, DOI registration, website maintenance, online hosting, and digital preservation.
  • Institutional Support:
    The journal may receive administrative or institutional support to facilitate scholarly publishing activities.
  • Academic Contributions and Support:
    Voluntary academic support or research-related contributions may assist in maintaining open access publishing services.

The journal maintains complete editorial independence. Financial contributions, APC payments, or institutional support do not influence manuscript evaluation, peer review decisions, or publication outcomes.

Article Processing Charges (APC)

Armaghan-e-Sarhad does not charge any submission fee.

An Article Processing Charge is applicable only after a manuscript has successfully completed peer review and has been formally accepted for publication.

Standard APC:

PKR 15,000 / USD 60

The APC covers:

  • Editorial processing and administrative handling
  • Peer review coordination
  • Manuscript processing and formatting
  • DOI registration (where applicable)
  • Online publication and hosting
  • Digital preservation and archiving services

Payment of APC does not guarantee acceptance of any manuscript. All articles must meet the journal’s academic quality standards and successfully pass the peer review process.

Fast-track processing only reduces processing time and does not influence editorial decisions or guarantee acceptance.

Printed Copies:

Printed copies may be available upon author request. Applicable printing and delivery charges will be communicated separately.

APC Waiver and Discount Policy

Armaghan-e-Sarhad supports equitable access to scholarly publishing and provides fee assistance in appropriate cases.

Authors may request:

  • Full or partial APC waivers based on financial need.
  • Discounts for students and early-career researchers upon providing valid documentation.
  • Special consideration for authors from low-income countries or institutions with limited research funding.

All waiver requests are reviewed confidentially and independently by the editorial office. Requesting a waiver has no effect on the peer review process or editorial decision.

Payment Information

Authors will receive an official invoice only after acceptance of their manuscript.

Available payment methods may include:

  • Local payment methods (for Pakistani authors)
  • International payment options (for overseas authors)
